We’re delighted to share that after last year’s success, we will be launching the Creative Student Awards for a second year.
The Creative Student Awards, which was first launched in June 2016, aims to help graduates standout in an increasingly competitive job marketplace.
The competition gives students a chance to showcase a wide range of their creative work throughout the year, across 8 categories, to potential employers and the creative industry as a whole. Each season, a shortlist of entries is announced and a public vote takes place to choose a seasonal winner, who receives a £30 voucher to a store of their choice and entry into the grand final. At the end of the year an overall winner is crowned, winning £300, workplace placement opportunities and the title of CS Awards Winner 2017/18.
After receiving such positive feedback from last year’s awards, we’ve made some changes to this year’s CS Awards:
- Lecturers are able to submit pieces of work on behalf of their students, with their permission.
- Competitions are split into seasonal competitions, as opposed to monthly, to allow students to submit their creative work within a wider timeframe.
- There will be a judging panel of industry experts to assist with the decision of each seasonal winner. To find out how you could become a judge, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Commenting on last year’s awards, University of Chichester’s Senior Lecturer of Digital Marketing comments “The CS Awards have really helped our students. Two of the final year students who were shortlisted from the University of Chichester are now working for London-based agencies in paid search and media planning. I would definitely recommend that other universities get involved.”
Director of Solutions 4 Recruitment, Carole Clarke added “We were very impressed with the entries from last year’s competition. Some great brands and influential industry experts got on board and offered their support, including judging pieces of work and offering out internships, and we are excited to see how this year’s competition will progress.”
