Charity Tandem Skydive at 15,000 Feet!

On Sunday 4th May, Emma’s brave husband Dave Millichamp volunteered to part-take in a tandem skydive from 15,000 ft. The skydive was in aid of our chosen charity, Wave 105 Cash 4 Kids who we have proudly supported since the beginning of 2013.

Wave 105 Cash 4 Kids are committed to supporting local children under the age of 18, who are financially, socially, emotionally or physically disadvantaged.  Additionally, they aim to encourage healthy lifestyle options by promoting physical, mental and general wellbeing of children and adolescents specifically within the Wave105 region.

Skydiving is considered an extreme sport, not something for the faint hearted. According to Dave Millichamp, the experience is definitely not one to be forgotten.

“It was a fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone who wants to push the limits of the norm in aid of a very good cause. I thoroughly enjoyed the build up to the jump and cheering on the other 8 jumpers before me. The views were spectacular, and once I had overcome the queasiness of being spun around in circles, I was able to embrace the thrill of it all!”

Our Office Administrator Rachel  will be doing her skydive for Wave 105 Cash 4 Kids on Sunday 12th October. If you would also like to take part you can find out more by visiting the Wave 105 website.

We have previously supported the Cash 4 Kids through various activities from 17 mile cycles to dressing up as Superheros! Find out more from our “Busy is the new Happy” blog post.
